Afrobeat singer Seun Kuti Arrested And Handcuffed @ Lagos Police Station for assaulting a police man

Seun Kuti, the international and popular Afrobeat musician was arrested and handcuffed at Lagos State police station, Idowu Owohunwa on Monday.

Benjamin Hundeyin, the spokesperson for the Lagos Police Commission said, that Seun Kuti “has been placed under arrest in line with the law, The ongoing investigation will be detailed, transparent, professionally pursued and justice will be manifestly served for all parties involved.”

“An order was made for the arrest of Kuti, a Grammy-nominated saxophonist and singer, on Saturday after a viral video showed him on a road, shouting and apparently pushing and smacking a police officer, police said. He turned himself in early on Monday to the headquarters of the Lagos state police command, accompanied by a lawyer and a family representative.”
