Presidential Candidate Kamala Harris makes Time Magazine Cover

August 13, 2024 by AFRIPOL Leave a Comment

Kamala Harris, the Democratic Party presidential candidate has been rising in the polls and pulling away from Republican rival Donald Trump. The media houses have been noticing that and most of them are paying attention and tracking every moves she makes.

Now comes the big one, the popular Time magazine has eventually decided to put her on front cover of the magazine. The picture of Madam Harris on Time magazine with the inside article was bold, intellectual and compelling. Even her opponent, Donald Trump confessed that her cover picture was “beautiful.” Without doubt it was photogenic and excellent.

“Less than a month after ascending to the top of the Democratic ticket, Vice President Kamala Harris is continuing to gain ground in the presidential race, pulling ahead in the polls and drawing large crowds at rallies across the country. As of this week, she now graces the cover of Time Magazine’s latest issue following her campaign appearance in Pennsylvania alongside her new running mate, Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz.  Harris’ cover image also drew praise from one unlikely source: Former President Donald Trump. The article traces Harris’ path to becoming the presidential nominee, examining her 2020 bid for president and the changes to America’s political landscape since that election. It charts her methodical plan for pursuing the presidency, initially set with a 2028 run in mind. It also hones in on Harris’ ability to inspire audiences and energize voters in a way that Biden struggled to do. “

“Harris has less than 90 days to prove that she can convert the momentum of her successful launch into a tough, smart operation capable of beating a former President with a dedicated base of support and a knack for commanding the stage. She inherited a campaign infrastructure and policy record from her predecessor, but the energy is all hers. Picking Walz as a running mate over more conventional choices signals a belief that this race is as much about feelings as it is about fundamentals. Harris’ brand shift—the happy-warrior attitude, the viral memes, the eye roll at Republican “weirdos”—has already done what no Trump opponent has ever been able to do: snatch the spotlight away from him.”

But the truth remains that Kamala Harris is still an underdog in this presidential race. But with her recent showings in the polls, she may as well be the candidate to beat. If her momentum continues with this upward trends, it maybe time for the American people to expect to have her first woman president. Only time will tell.
