The heart of the father
Legacy of progenitor thought
From generation to generation
Delves the inspiration of thought
A conversation satiating the soul
Let dawn set off
As the morning sun rises
The cock in the barn speaks
‘ the morning has come
Let strong and weak gather’
There are enemies in the gate
Let the warriors arise
Let the weak and lazy repose
Men of valor, women of virtue stand
Stands for history
Stands for ancestors
Stands for posterity
The rains comes in fragments
Dry wind follow put in disgust
Obinna emerges!
Obinna a warrior of conscience
Obinna a warrior of consequence
Obinna a warrior of conquest
Hammer against the enemies
Sword piercing den of the enemies
Weapon waging war against enemies at the gate
Obinna!
Odogwu of our time
Ofo given to you
To preserve a generation
To elucidate our history
To defend our future
A son is born to us
And a destiny ingrained, ignited
Daalu
