Reacting to the passing away of the British Queen Elizabeth II at age of 96, Omoyele Sowore, the presidential candidate of the African Action Congress has told Nigerians not to mourn Queen Elizabeth II because she did not die for them. And retaliated that if he wins the presidency that ‘free visa to Britain’ will become the prerequisite for Nigeria’s continue membership in Commonwealth.
In the series post he made on Facebook, he wrote: “Don’t mourn the Queen, she didn’t die for you! The death of the Queen should herald the end of the “Commonwealth” #WeCantContinueLikeThis
While in another post, Sowore gives condition for Nigeria to continue to be member of Commonwealth of Nations, if he wins the presidency: “If Nigeria is going to be part of the “Commonwealth” under my watch as President, then Nigerians must be able to travel to all Commonwealth countries without a visa! #WeCantContinueLikeThis
