Tinubu returns back to Nigeria from UK

October 6, 2022 by AFRIPOL Leave a Comment

After being away from Nigeria and from political campaigns for weeks, the presidential candidate and flagbearer of the All Progressives Congress, Bola Tinubu has finally returned to Nigeria from Britain.

All the party stalwarts were at the airport to receive him as he flew in on a private plane. The party bigwigs at airport including his running mate, kashim Shettima, former governor of Edo State and ex-chairman of APC, Adam Oshiomole and many others received him back from United Kingdom.

Being off the campaign and out of the country, there were many speculations on Tinubu because of his absence including the issue of ill-health. Before he came back, APC campaign has disputed the rumour of ill-health as false. APC claimed that he was resting in London and released a video of Tinubu riding an exercise bike. Accompanying the video in a Tweet, Tinubu wrote, “Many have said I have died; others claim I have withdrawn from the presidential campaign. Well… Nope.”

The presidential aide, Bashir Ahmad, has earlier on Thursday tweeted: “Our presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu has returned to Abuja from London.”
