Five undrafted players of Nigerian origin secured new NBA contracts

Tobe Awaka – Chicago Bulls

AK Okereke – LA Lakers

Ernest Udeh Jr – Cleveland Cavaliers

Micheal Ajayi – Charlotte Hornets

Graham Ike – Golden State Warriors

  1. AK Okereke – LA Lakers:  Former Cornell men’s basketball standout  Ak Okereke ’25 has signed a two-way NBA contract with the Los Angeles Lakers following the 2026 NBA Draft. A two-way contract allows a team to have players who can split time between the NBA and the G League to develop young talent and provide flexibility in roster management. 

2. Ernest Udeh Jr – Cleveland Cavaliers : Ernest Udeh Jr. is a 6’11” center who agreed to a two-way contract with the Cleveland Cavaliers following the 2026 NBA Draft. He will split his time between the Cavaliers and their NBA G League affiliate, the Cleveland Charge

3. Graham Ike – Golden State Warriors : Former Gonzaga forward Graham Ike signed an Exhibit 10 contract with the Golden State Warriors after going undrafted in the 2026 NBA Draft. The 6-foot-9, 23-year-old big man is competing for a roster spot or a two-way deal during training camp and the Summer League

4. Micheal Ajayi – Charlotte Hornets: The Charlotte Hornets are signing Michael Ajayi to a two-year two-way contract, league sources tell The Athletic. 

5. Tobe Awaka – Chicago Bulls :Former Arizona forward Tobe Awaka has signed a two-way NBA contract with the Chicago Bulls. The deal was finalized on June 24, 2026, immediately following the 2026 NBA Draft where he went unselected
