POEM- American liberty Rising and Shimmering

June 29, 2021 by Admin Leave a Comment

Statue of Liberty

There is a land of beckoning star
Shining from mountain to sea
Land calling the displaced, marginalized
Those wallowing in sorrow and sadness
With tears of regrets and disappointments

When the eclipse of decency stuns in alien lands
American the beauty calls you to come

The thriving star of the day
She spread her hands like a mother
Embracing the downtrodden
Embracing the rejected
Embracing the deformed sensibility
She roared in a loving voice
“Oh come the rejected and displaced I will replenish you”

Your place of birth rejected you, she took you in
The feet wary of suffering tide, she clamored for mercy
The voice drowning in anger, she offered mercy
The hands shivering with cold, she delivered warm blanket
Your were hungry and there were hamburger, fries, pizza
But you said she is weak because she is generous
No ! do not say it again – She is not weak
She has sympathy on her heart, mercy on her tongue and warmth on her hands

America the beautiful
American the merciful
May joyfulness and openness flow endless
May your gate never close to the wary feet
Never reject you character, that is how God made you

To be the beckon of hope
To be a land of freedom
To be the land of liberty
To be a land of lighten path

God made you a steady hand of justice
With a lamp of light to devour darkness
May God always stand by you
And may God continue to bless America
Water of peace, justice and liberty will never cease in the land
America the beautiful compassion
Where freedom rising, glowing and never cease
