“My strength comes from the Congolese DNA because we Congolese are very strong” – Mike Tyson
Mike Tyson visited the Democratic Republic of Congo in October 2025 to participate in the 50th anniversary of the “Rumble in the Jungle” fight between Muhammad Ali and George Foreman. During the trip, he was welcomed as a hero, met President Tshisekedi, toured the renamed Ali-Foreman Stadium, and spoke of the deep emotional connection he felt after his DNA test revealed he is about 80% Congolese.
