Liz Cambage told Nigerian rivals to 'go back to your third world country' in ugly pre-Olympics incident | PerthNow
Cambage Jibe

Last year in Las Vegas during a pre-Olympic warm up game; Nigerian women Basket players were confronted with derogatory words from Liz Cambage Jibe of Australian Women Basketball team. She is known for being outspoken and sometimes controversial.

Cambage Jibe told Nigerian Women players to “go back to your third world country” at a matchup game with Nigerian team against her Australian team. The interesting thing is that Cambage Jibe herself is of Nigerian descent. Although, Liz Cambage jibe is an Australian but her father is a Nigerian and her mother is an Australian. And she was born in London in a Nigerian community.

Recently, O’Hea who is a former team mate of Cambage Jibe confirmed the story during the game on an Australian Broadcasting Corporation TV. She said, “That is all 100% correct” that Cambage told the Nigerian players to “go back to your third world country”

Cambage Jibe who later pulled out from Olympics due to mental health issue is currently signed with Los Angeles Sparks.
