The winning of the minds of a majority by a leader is a pious cause. For no one thrusts his fate in the hands of another without the belief that he will progress his condition. Peter Obi has devotedly worked to prove to Nigerians that there is a better future than the mess they are faced with. It appears difficult for the political dragons to tear him down because he has what I consider the Jesus Factor. He sees the problems of Nigeria from a puritanical standpoint whereas his oppositions are fighting to retain their evil dominion. Hence, every bomb they throw at him boomerangs and blows them to pieces. He sees them but they do not see him because they are looking for a mirror image of their ignoble selves. The reflection in their mirror bounces back evil to evil.
Nigerians should work hard to embrace the representation of Peter Obi like their future and that of the next generations depend on it. The election thugs in Lagos and other parts of the country destroying the tools of democracy are signs of a silent revolution. Even the officials of the government who are colluding to manipulate the machinery of the election process are hired offensives to uphold the dark regime. The vestiges of the evil dominion will not relinquish power without the sacrifice of blood. The masses who have been converted by a doctrine of purity should mount a front and make sure their walls of resistance do not collapse.
The popularity of Peter Obi has crossed all boundaries of ethnicity, religion and monetary influence. Nigerians have come to identify that they have one common enemy that brutalizes the nation without preference. The fervent preaching of Peter Obi has opened the eyes of the oppressed to the demon consuming their existence. For a country like Nigeria that should be the envy of the world for her immeasurable resources both human and natural to be depressed by poverty and misery, it is a crime against the collective conscience.
The pain of the silent revolution will last but it will not endure. The people in the dark have seen the light. The ugliness that emanates from the throne of the few that occupy the corrupt leadership of the country is weak to combat the wishes of the masses. The reggae group; The Mighty Diamonds sang that a revolution is not a dinner party. So don’t come with a knife and a fork but candidly come. The vision of a Nigeria where our resources are maximized should lift the spirit of everyone to stay the cause. The dream is closer today than it was ever before.
